The Constitutional Convention, which was also known as the Grand Convention of Philadelphia was a convention held in 1787 attended by delegates from the different states. The initial intention was to work on revising the government system under the Articles of Convention, but then it turned to creating a new government rather than trying to fix the existing one.
The central compromise of this convention was the issue of representation from large and small states in the House of Representatives. The proposals include equal representation of states and also the population of states will determine that representation. This convention came to the decision of writing a new constitution as a solution for the problems of the country.
