The tell tale heart made me feel on the edge of my seat the whole time. I felt this wash because how suspenseful the story became as it progressed. My feelings were all over the place as the story continued. At first I felt nervous then anxious.

I think it likely differs from person to person. Overall, only the people who are genuinely interested in the news are going to make an actuve effort to watch/read it and those people will likely use both. I believe that you should say that tv is more appealing since it both provides visuals and takes less effort to engage in.
