Pearl Harbor was on December 7th 1941

This was a surprise attack by the Japanese effort at Pearl Harbor, Hawaii. This would drive the US out of isolation, making them join the war.

This also led to the bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki

The Battle of Stalingrad is considered by many historians to have been the turning point in World War ll in europe. The Battle of Stalingrad bled the germans army dry in russia  after their defeat the german army was in full retreat.
