Write a question that matches this equation.<br><br> 42 ÷ n = 6
Arlecino [84]
If we are supposed to give you like a life situation that matches the equation then I have one:
You have 42 watermelons and you need to divide them into equal groups. Let n equal the number of watermelons in each group. There are 6 groups in total. How many watermelons are in each group? (solve for n).

If this is not what you were looking for then my apologies.

You were testing orange juice recipes it’s recipe calls for orange juice concentrate and water mix one has 4 cups of concentrate
Sav [38]

Answer:

First mixed is the most orangey.

Step-by-step explanation:

First:

Orange\ juice\ concentrate=4\ cups\\\\Water=6\ cups\\\\Tota\ content=4+6=10\ cups\\\\Percentage\ of\ orange\ juice\ concentrate=\frac{Orange\ juice\ concentrate}{Total\ amount}\times 100\\\\Percentage\ of\ orange\ juice\ concentrate=\frac{4}{10}\times 100=40\%

Second:

Orange\ juice\ concentrate=1\ cups\\\\Water=3\ cups\\\\Tota\ content=1+3=4\ cups\\\\Percentage\ of\ orange\ juice\ concentrate=\frac{Orange\ juice\ concentrate}{Total\ amount}\times 100\\\\Percentage\ of\ orange\ juice\ concentrate=\frac{1}{4}\times 100=25\%

Third:

Orange\ juice\ concentrate=2\ cups\\\\Water=4\ cups\\\\Tota\ content=2+4=6\ cups\\\\Percentage\ of\ orange\ juice\ concentrate=\frac{Orange\ juice\ concentrate}{Total\ amount}\times 100\\\\Percentage\ of\ orange\ juice\ concentrate=\frac{2}{6}\times 100=33.33\%

First mixed has highest percentage of orange juice. Hence first mixed is the most orangey.

Compare the strengths and weaknesses of the horizontal and vertical methods for adding and subtracting polynomials. Include comm
Pavlova-9 [17]

Answer:

Overall vertical is visually better, if done correctly

it forces you to "line up" all the common exponents.

The disadvantage is that it usually requires re-writing the problem, and it takes up space.

most problems are presented horizontally, that becomes the issue to locate the common exponents.

in both cases the biggest issue is people forget

that when subtracting "subtracting a negative is like adding a positive"

-5x - (-8x)  = 3x [that is a positive 3x]

or:

     -7x

-    - 10x

-------------

     3x

everyone misses those eventually so you have to watch out for that in both methods
