Surface mining is more ecologically damaging than subsurface mining. This is true. Surface mining includes strip mining, mountaintop removal mining. It is a broad category of mining in which soil and rock overlying the mineral deposit are removed.

golgi apparatus: Transports proteins and lipids around the cell. Often it is called the shipping department of the cell.
