kotegsom [21]

The correct answer is D)

One effect of the Immigration Act of 1965 on Latin Americans was that it made it more difficult for Latin Americans to immigrate.

The Immigration Act of 1965, also known as the Hart–Celler Act had a profund impact on the subsequent immigration laws in the United States.

While it made it easier for Asians, Middle Easterns and Africans to immigrate to the United States, Latin Americans found it more difficult.

Previosuly, immigration quotas were based on the origin of a person with preference given to Western Europeans.

After the Act, the immigration rules were changed in order to attract higly skilled and educated labor to the country.

15 points for help!!
Goshia [24]

Answer:

  • The cartoon plays on the common idea that bureaucracy is overly complicated, and that it requires a lot of paperwork to perform even the most simple of tasks. People also assume that this ludicrous amount of paperwork makes bureaucracy slow and inefficient.
  • While bureaucracy can be slow and inefficient at times, people often forget that the paperwork is there for specific reasons. Leaving a written record of every action taken ensures that accidents happen less often, and that accountability is maintained. Also, bureaucratic procedures can be slow because of the amount of people that require them or due to the complexity of some issues. So the stereotype of bureaucracy is for the most part undeserved.
