Another answer is that loyalists were colonists who remained loyal to the British crown during the revolutionary war.
I would say appeal based on logic. I'm not entirely sure, but that's what makes the most sense to me :)
The chinese peasants and peasant economy got a general boost in the amount of rights that they had, as the Mongols were herdsmen themselves (kinda).
