Hello. You did not mention the text to which this question refers, which makes it impossible for it to be answered. However, when searching for your question, I found a question exactly the same as yours that showed that this question is referring to Friar Lawrence who is a character in the play "Romeo and Juliet" written by Shakespeare. So, I hope the answer below can help you.

As you may already know, Romeo and Juliet were in love, but they could not be together, as their family was an enemy of each other and would never accept their relationship. Friar Lawrence decided to help them live this love and for that reason, he set up three plans during the story.

  1. The first plan was to marry Romeo and Juliet hidden from their families. Friar would perform the ceremony and this would prevent families from marrying either of them with other people, or trying to separate them.
  2. The second plan involved a potion that Juliet should drink and that would help her pretend she was dead. This would allow her to escape with Romeo, without her family trying to stop her, and thus, live with her husband in peace.
  3. The third plan involved sending a letter to Romeo, to let him know that Juliet was not really dead, but she was waiting for him so that she could leave the city with him. Unfortunately, this was the only plan that did not work. Romeo did not receive the letter and received the news that Juliet was really dead, which caused the story to end tragically with the death of both him and her.

Answer:

Francis is dominant and aggressive. He sees the world as a place where he can manipulate things when he wants. When he doesn't get what he wants, he gets angry that he can't have his way. Hedoesn't like being told no and on top of that, he doesn't know how to take no for an answer because he is spoiled.

Scout on the other hand sees the world as a big place and she isn't racist in fact, I feel that Aticuss protects her and it leads her to not be biased or predjudice. She sees no difference and isn't as educated about the world as Francis. She gets the opportunity to see the good side in people that no one else wanted to give them the chance to see.

ss7ja [257]
1. impinge = strike
The word impinge can have various meanings, but in the case above, it means to strike. When 'the rain impinge[d] upon the earth,' it means that it started raining, the rain started striking the earth. To impinge means that something starts, and usually something negative.

2. garrulous = loquacious
The word garrulous refers to someone who talks excessively, likes to talk a bit too much, and usually about something trivial. Loquacious is a fancy word to denote the same thing, although it has a more positive connotation - it refers to someone who can speak nicely.

3. pious = religious
The word pious comes from the Latin word pius, which means dutiful. So when English took this word from Latin, it added a different suffix (-ous), and gave it the meaning of being 'dutiful to God.' So nowadays, pious refers to someone who is devoutly religious.

4. ruinous = dilapidated
The word ruinous refers to something which is in ruins, which is falling apart. The word which means the same thing is dilapidated - both of these words are usually used to describe buildings that are very old, and derelict, and are practically in ruins.
