Explanation:

Sometimes you have to lie, and if you don't there can be terrible consequences. But at the same time, sometimes you can't lie, even if the lie is so much better than the truth. You have to look at the consequences of the action you choose to take. How will it make others feel? Will they find out if you lied or not? How can this effect what actions they take? After you properly consider it, you then have to choose whether lying would be the good or bad thing to do.

Answer:

Personally, I disagree with that statement entirely. Just because the "truth hurts" does not mean you should go and tell others what you think they want to hear. It gives off a bad influence. There is no real communication without the truth. It will present you as a dishonest person and it affects whoever you tell. Its best to tell the truth, even if it hurts.
