The theme of this story is that not everyone gets a happily ever after. We continue to go through trials and tribulations that test us and how grounded we are. There is no one moment which leads to peace afterwards. The wise old witch in “Once Upon a Time” symbolizes the folly of apartheid. Although she's supposed to be wise, her gift of extra bricks to improve the personal security of her son and his family makes a bad situation worse

Antithesis is a rhetorical device which is used to contrast two ideas or things in a parallel sentence. Parallel structure is a literary device which consist of a repetition of some pattern of words. These stylistic devices offer the reader a more pleasant speech as well as it makes the speech easy to understand the main idea of the thought.
