You will know by key words and foreshadowing that the author throws at you in the text but if you are not careful you will not see it and eventually become lost
Here's the ones I believe are character vs. character conflicts:
1. two sisters furiously competing against each other in a spelling bee (sister vs. sister)
3. a local activist that is trying to overthrow a corrupt leader (activist vs. leader)
4. a fairy tale princess that is trying to escape from her captor, the evil queen (princess vs. queen)
5. a young boy clashing with his sister as they attempt to plan a birthday party (boy vs. his sister)
It an Adverb. I'm just writing because it has to be 20 characters LOL!

Answer: Johnny is a hero because he used his heroic qualities to help people. He knew the children inside were in danger and needed help so he just did what was right. When the church building caught on fire, Johnny acted as bravely as those southern gentlemen who "[rode] into sure death because they were gallant." Despite his abusive background, Johhny still put others before himself, going into the church to rescue trapped kids without a second thought to his own personal safety. He soon followed up with evacuating the premise with the kids safely long enough. Johnny's actions were extremely heroic, shoving Ponyboy through the window at the last second. He saved his friend, and in the process, sacrificed himself.
