Answer:

Asegment of chromosomal DNA

Explanation:

A gene is a hereditary unit consisting of a sequence of DNA that occupies a specific location on a chromosome and determines a particular characteristic in an organism. Genes undergo mutation when their DNA sequence changes. It is the basic physical and functional unit of heredity. Genes are made up of DNA. Some genes act as instructions to make molecules called proteins. However, many genes do not code for proteins. Alleles are forms of the same gene with small differences in their sequence of DNA bases. These small differences contribute to each person's unique physical features.

Biodiversity increases as the number of populations grow, because a greater population generally means a more diverse one.

"Why do field researchers and laboratory researchers use tools that are similar and tools that are different?
Likurg_2 [28]

Answer:

Field research and laboratory research are different from each other on various accounts. In a lab, the study is not on such a broader level as that on a field.

Some of the tools in a lab and a field study will be same because such tools cannot be changed. For example, for amplification of genes, PCR will be used whether a field research is being made or a lab research.

On the other hand, some of the tools will be different. For example, to study field plants we'll use quadrants for counting but in a lab, as a lesser number of plants are understudy so we won't need a quadrant.
