Answer:

He was a Democratic-Republican who did not want to have so many Federalist judges in place, is the right answer.

Explanation:

Thomas Jefferson became the President of the United States on 4th March 1801 and served the post until 4th March 1809. He joined his office after defeating John Adams in the presidential election of the year 1800. In this election, the Federalist Party was swept out of power by the Democratic-Republican Party. Moreover,  the Democratic party swept away some of the positions created by John Adams during the final days of his presidency. One such example was the post of the "Midnight Judges", who were Federalists.

To this appointment, Jefferson and his allies wanted to repeal the Judiciary Act of 1801. There were two reasons for this, first, that they think this post was not necessary and second they wanted to reduce the influence of the Federalists in the court. For this purpose, Jefferson enacted the Judiciary Act of 1802 and keep the essential documents required to swear in the “midnight judges”.

Why a government in which citizens choose members of a legislature to make policy, rather than making it themselves, was favored
Crank

Answer:

Although James Madison initially presented political opinions that supported the idea of a national government, as well as thinking in other countries, he ended up changing, and his preference became for stronger state governments because the direct government of citizens was impractical and he believed it was less likely to produce good public policy.

Why did the spanish, dutch, french and english treat native peoples differently
Harrizon [31]
Interactions among Europeans and Native Americans varied from place to place, and members of each nation forged relationships with Indians in very different ways, depending on a variety of economic, social and political factors. While we should be mindful of this diversity, we can still make certain generalizations. Few Europeans considered Native Americans their equals, because of differences in religion, agricultural practice, housing, dress, and other characteristics that—to Europeans—indicated Native American inferiority. However, the French, Spanish, and Dutch sought profit through trade and exploitation of New World resources, and they knew that the native people would be important to their success. Europeans also wanted to convert Native Americans to Christianity. Therefore, economic gain and religion were the two factors that most affected the dynamics of European and indigenous American relationships.
