Answer:

Grover Cleveland was in office from 1885 to 1889 and from 1893 to 1897. <em><u>This</u></em> circumstance makes him the <u><em>twenty-second</em></u> and the <u><em>twenty-fourth</em></u> president.

Explanation:

Adjectives are the words that modify or add to the meaning of a noun. They describe the noun in a much more detailed way, giving extra information about that particular noun.

In the given sentences, the <u>adjectives are "this" and "twenty-second" and "twenty-fourth"</u> because they describe the nouns in the sentence.

While "this", which is a demonstrative adjective, describes "circumstance", the other two adjectives "twenty-second" and "twenty-fourth" describe the noun "president".

Identify whether the sentences are simple, complex, compound or compound-complex; also, underline dependent clauses where it app
olganol [36]

Answer:

The answers are:

  1. Compound sentence
  2. Complex sentence
  3. Simple sentence
  4. Complex sentence
  5. Compound sentence
  6. Compound complex sentence
  7. Complex sentence
  8. Complex sentence.

Explanation:

I'm going to start with the simple sentences, which are literally the simplest: Simple sentences are comporse by one independent clause that has a verb an an object --an independent clause means that it can go alone with no need of further info--. A Compound sentence is that one which is "linked" with a conjuction such as: <em>and, for, but, so, </em>and it's composed by two independent clauses. A Complex sentence contain an independent clause and at least one dependent clause --which is the opposite of independent, this one cannot go alone as it'll be "incomplete--. And finally, a compound complex sentence is that one which is basically a "compound sentence" but with a dependent clause.

What is the theme of the book called kick off like Donna King
exis [7]

I think the themes of “Kickoff” are Bullying and Friendship at the same time. Bullying because a girl named Alicia is always trying to be so much better then Tyra but she cant so she gets jealous and hurts her in soccer or gets her friends too trip her. The last time someone tripped her she sprained her ankle and might not be able to play in the game that is only a week and a half away. Also friendship because one of Alicia’s friends named Molly is against all the bullying on Tyra and is Tyra’s only good friend that she can talk to.Tyra really misses her old home in Florida and Molly supports her. Molly is also really interested in how Tyra played soccer in Florida for the Tampa Bay Butterflies.
