3. In paragraphs 9-12, What does this tell you
lutik1710 [3]

Answer:

The Last Class” is the tender story of a young Alsatian boy and his last French lesson. The setting is an unnamed town in Alsace, and the story takes place near the beginning of the Prussian occupation of Alsace and Lorraine, about 1873. Little Franz is the narrator of the story. Having gotten a late start on this beautiful warm morning, Franz rushes to school. He is fearful that Monsieur Hamel will scold him because he is late and has not prepared his French lesson on participles.

On his way to school, Franz passes through the town square, and in front of the town hall he sees a small group of people reading notices posted on a grating. These are notices posted by the Prussians concerning orders issued from headquarters. While Franz is running across the square, Wachter, the blacksmith, calls to him that there is no need to hurry. Franz thinks that Wachter is teasing him.

Out of breath, he arrives at school. To his dismay, there is no noise or confusion to cover his entrance. Instead, this day, there is the silence and stillness of the Sabbath. Frightened and red-faced, he enters the classroom; instead of giving Franz a harsh scolding, however, Monsieur Hamel gently directs Franz to his seat.

Once settled in his seat, Franz begins to notice the differences that this day has brought. Monsieur Hamel is all dressed up in his Sunday best, the clothes that he wears when prizes are given or on inspection days. Franz’s classmates are especially solemn this day.

gizmo_the_mogwai [7]

The answer is "B." This is a an adjective describing a condition or a state of being.

This is a word describing something bad that is being or has been experienced to the maximum degree. It also describes a situation or condition that is extremely unpleasant and degrading.

In this sentence, the word "abject" is the best choice because it is giving a candid description of something or a situation or a condition that is bad, unpleasant and degrading. This bad condition or situation is poverty.

Sorry change the sentence Active voice in a sentence passive voice How do you do it?
kotykmax [81]

Answers :

1. Tina will have cooked the burned one for sure.

2. Sora had went to last hope 3 days ago.

3. Jill did not drop this phone.

4. Our manager solved problems.

5. I will use money for good.

6. Jake cannot go back to home.

7. Did Jack do it?

8. Slackers will not save the future.

Method :-

Here, we are given the sentences in passive voice. To convert them into active, let's look at an example below -

That phone isn't dropped by Jill.

↓ ↓ ↓

Object Verb Subject

¤ In the above example, when we convert to active tense, the subject will be written first as same.

¤ Then the verb area will be converted a little as per the sense of the sentence. Like 'the next day' means tomorrow. So, the word will be 'tomorrow'. Examples:

☆ The previous day -> yesterday

☆ Tonight -> night

( There are many more like these. In order to learn them in detail, search at Brainly or Internet. )

¤ Then the object is also changed a bit as per sentence. Objects like phone, table, car will be the same but that phone, those boys etc, will be changed a little.

( There are many more like these. In order to learn them in detail, search at Brainly or Internet. )

Hope this helps !
