Yes it was..lets say the tran saharan trade routes which runs across North Africa to the middle East..the people coming from the middle East were speaking Islam and the people in North Africa had to communicate with them...so somehow learnt it..so yeah lol, I suck at explaining stuff buh I hopeu get it? :/
