Answer: "B. 12p^6q^5

Step-by-step explanation:

The given monomial : 6a^2b^8c

Degree of this monomial = Sum of powers of variables=2+8+1= 11

Let's check all the options

A   18t^8

Degree = 8

B 12p^6q^5

Degree = 6+5 =11

C 9a^5b^3c^2

Degree = 5+3+2=10

D 6w^4x^2y^3z^3

Degree =4+2+3+3=12

We can see that only option B has degree 11.

So, the monomial has the same degree as 6a^2b^8c is "B. 12p^6q^5 "

Which equation could be solved using the graph above?
Oduvanchick [21]

Answer:

Option b is the correct answer

Step-by-step explanation:

The graph in the picture is the graph of a quadratic equation and it takes the shape of a parabola.

The points on the x axis through which the parabola cuts across is used to determine the solution of the quadratic equation.

Looking at the parabola formed from the plotted points, it cuts the x axis at

x = -1 and x= -2

These are the factors of the equation. To get the equation, we multiply the factors.

x= -1, x +1 = 0

x =-2 , x + 2= 0

The equation is (x+1)(x+2)

Expanding the brackets,

x×x + x×2 +1×x + 1×2

= x^2 + 2x + x +2

= x^2 + 3x +2 = 0

Option b is the correct answer

a painter bought 8 gallons of paint just enough to cover 2 rooms. One room is twice the size of the other and requires only 2 co
e-lub [12.9K]
So, he's got 8 gallons of paint, to paint the two rooms, of the two rooms, one is twice as big as the other

now, "x" is how many gallons to paint the larger room with only one coat, however, the larger room uses 2 coats, so, the larger room uses 2x of paint
now, the client declined to paint the smaller one

so hmmm as I read... well, we dunno how many coats will go to the smaller room for one, we know the larger will use 2 coats, or 2x.. if we assume the smaller room was going to use say 1 coat or 1/2x

then one can say the painter bought enough for both rooms, 1coat for the small one and 2coats for the larger one

so, the paint the larger room, you'll 2x of paint, for 2coatsand to paint the smaller room, you'll need 1/2 x, because x gallons is how much is needed for the larger room, but the larger room is twice as big, thus the smaller room uses 1/2 of that in gallons

thus, with those assumptions, that the small room will use only 1 coat
\bf \cfrac{1}{2}x+2x=8\implies \cfrac{5x}{2}=8\implies x=\cfrac{16}{5}
that's who many gallons are needed for 1 coat in the larger roomrecall "x" is 1coat for the larger room

now, the client decides to skip the smaller roomso, the painter will only need 2x gallons then

\bf 2x\implies 2\cdot \cfrac{16}{5}\implies \cfrac{32}{5}\implies 6.4\ gallons

he bought 8 gallons, 8 - 6.4, he's got left 1.6 gallons

The Martin family's truck gets an average of 25 miles per gallon. Predict how many milrs they can drive using 7 gallons of gas.
Hunter-Best [27]
Okay so on average if they can go 25 miles per gallon that would mean you could just multiply 25 and 7 to get 175. So on average they could go 175 miles on 7 gallons of gas. Keep in mind that the answer can and will change depending on traffic, how fast or slow they are going, and if they are traveling behind a big-rig that moves more air that would normally be putting pressure on the car to push out of the way  but the big-rig helps save gas but it can also waste more gas if they are driving slower then normal.
Sorry for the extra information once I start it's hard to stop. Any way I hope this helps.
