I'm not sure about this, but here goes nothing..

Here's the definition to congruent triangles: Triangles are congruent when all corresponding sides and interior angles are congruent. The triangles will have the same shape and size, but one may be a mirror image of the other.

So meaning that if you split them in half, (Depending on the way you turn it, and depending on the triangle) they would have to mirror each other to be equal to each other.

Now, for the other question, the triangle has to be a right triangle to make a rectangle. If you turn the triangle where the long side is facing the opposite of the other long side. If you put them together it makes a rectangle.

This may have not have answered the question, but I'm happy I tried to help.

Though if I did get it right, could I possibly have brainliest? U would be my first one.

Tems11 [23]
A) 1/5 + 5/9

find common denominator:
9*5 = 45

pillow case: 1/5 = 9/45
table cloth: 5/9 = 25/45

9/45 + 25/45 = 34/45 was used

B. using 45 as the denominator the full piece of cloth would be 45/45
       fraction left over = 45/45 - 34/45 = 11/45 left

C. from A the pillow case uses 9/45, they have 11/45 left, because 9 is less than 11, they have enough to make a pillow case

A player pays $1 to play a game where three fair dice are rolled. If three 6s are obtained the player wins $500, and otherwise t
Ugo [173]
The chance to win = 1 : 6³ = 1 / 216

To win $500, the player needs to pay $216 on average.
500/ 216 = 2.31
$2.31 win and $1 cost per game gives $1.31 net win.

bekas [8.4K]

Step-by-step explanation:

confidence coefficient for 99% is 2.58

 2.58 * 19.4/sqrt(n) = 0.04

2.598*19.4/0.04 = sqrt(n)

 ( 2.598*19.4/0.04)^2  = n

Bill needs to edge his yard with the dimensions in the shape below. What distance will he have walked after completing his edgin
Montano1993 [528]

Answer:

37.8 m

Step-by-step explanation:

The computation of the distance is shown below:

In triangle ADE

AD^2 = AE^2 + DE^2 \\\\ AD^2 = 5^2 + 3^2 \\\\ AD^2 = 34

AD = 5.8

Now the distance walked after completing his edging is

Distance = AD + AB + BC + CD

= 5.8 + 12 + 5 + 15

= 37.8 m

We simply added these four sides so that the correct distance could arrive

Hence, the distance walked after completing his edging is 37.7

12. Building codes regulate the steepness of stairs. Homes must have steps that are at least 13 inches wide for each 8 inches
AfilCa [17]

Answer:

Slope tells you about the steepness of a line. It can is the ration of vertical change to horizontal change and you can solve this by using the slope formula:

a. So in your case, starting from the bottom, the slope is:

If you want to use coordinates, you can think of the first point (bottom of the stairs} would be at the point of origin (0,0). The next point would be at the top of the first stair 13 inches wide (horizontal or x) and 8 inches high (vertical or y)

So the coordinates of the two points would be:

(0,0) and (13, 8)

Using the formula we would have:

b. Looking at the answer above, you can see that the slope with increase if the vertical change is greater, so if you increase the height of the stairs, the stair would be steeper. The opposite is true if you would increase the width.

However, if you proportionally increase the width and the height, then the slope will remain the same.
