In “Kaddo’s Wall,” the main character,
Kaddo, had a surplus of corn that was so great he did not know what really to do with
it. The one thing he knew for certain, however, is
that he did not want to share his corn with those less fortunate. Instead he has the corn made into flour and
the flour made into bricks with which he builds a wall around his house. The idea that Kaddo had so much corn that he
could use a life-sustaining substance to build a wall is quite opulent. Thus, because it is with (and out of) his
wealth that the wall is made, the wall symbolizes wealth.
Personally, I think China is right to apply this law to their citizens. There are a lot of people in China, and currently speaking, China has the most people living in it than any other country in the entire world. And I just don't see why you would want to continue to populate a country that is already sinking in the ground, literally. I don't think it is right to want to control someone's body and decisions when it comes to child-bearing, but it think it is good that China is now taking control over their population crisis. People will do what they want, but at least China wants to take back control over a specific part of their country as its government, and that is amazing to me.
Again, this is my opinion on this subject. You can change it a bit or write what you feel on this subject. Hope this helped! Have a great day <3

they arrived at the spot where they had left their canoes, and saw what had happened, they filled the air with
their angry yells. The young man was now out on the lake in the canoe, and they were unable to follow him, as
all the other canoes were wrecked. They ran angrily along the lake shore, thinking he would land on their
side, but instead, he made his way across the lake to the other side.
