Northside Manufacturing Fire Evacuation Guide Fire, an ever-present hazard in Australia, causes approximately 100 fatalities and

over 3,000 injuries per annum. Significant resources are allocated to mitigate the risk. Our company is committed to ensuring that employees, visitors and contractors are kept as safe as possible whilst at any premises owned or under the control of the organisation. With this in mind, all staff should familiarise themselves with the locations of the fire alarms, fire call points, fire exits, fire assembly areas and fire tally boards. On discovering a fire, you should operate the nearest alarm, evacuate the building as described below and report the nature and location of the fire to the company’s fire warden. On hearing the fire alarm, you should:Quickly and calmly evacuate to the nearest assembly area.
Where there is anyone with mobility impairments, utilise the evacuation chair (if trained in its use) or escort them to a “temporary refuge point” i.e. stairwell or corridors protected by 30 minute fire doors and remain with them if appropriate.
Members of staff: If you are near the tally board AND the visitor sign-in sheet, you must pick up both, check the rooms shown on the tally board as you exit and close all doors behind you. Note the location of anyone with mobility impairment who has been escorted to a “temporary refuge point”. If the tally board/visitor sign-in sheet has already been collected, go straight to the assembly area.
If you have collected the tally board and visitor sign-in sheet and checked the rooms as you left the building, you must report with the tally board and visitor sign-in sheet to the company’s Fire Warden without delay, informing him/her of the location of any one with mobility impairments waiting in a “safe area”.
If you have looked for a tally board that you know is missing from its usual location, then report this to the company’s Fire Warden.
Fire wardens should assume their designated duties. Ensure all staff members and visitors/contractors are accounted for.
DO NOT attempt to fight a fire unless you have been trained to and it is safe to do so.
DO NOT leave the site unless instructed to do so.
Why do you think the visitor sign-in sheet needs to be taken?

- it is part of the fire evacuation procedure.
- the visitor sign in sheet helps account for evacuated visitors accurately.
- the visitors sign in sheet can help to locate people.
- it assists the fire warden to evacuate people more quickly

Answer:

B.

Explanation:

The visitor sign-in sheet is used to keep record of who has entered and left the premises. During fire evacuation, it is important for company's Fire Warden to have the visitor sign-in sheet.

The vistor sign-in sheet will help the Fire Warden to tally if all people have been evacuated from the premises. After assembling at the meeting point, the Fire Wardens account for evacuated visitors from the sign-in sheet to know that everyone has been safely evacuated from the premises and no one is left behind in the premises.

Therefore, option B is correct.

During lecture, your English literature instructor said William Blake’s “Auguries of Innocence” was, in part, “an early diatribe
SIZIF [17.4K]

The use of the phrase; "early diatribe about animal rights" in the philosophy assignment would not be plagiarism.

What is plagiarism?

Plagiarism is it's most primitive description is presenting another individual or group's work or ideas as one's own, with or without their consent, by incorporating it into one's work without full acknowledgement.

The above definition however includes not only published materials, but unpublished materials too.

However, in this scenario, only the phrase is used and not the English literature instructors idea.

Hence, it follows that the use of the phrase is not termed plagiarism as the phrase is the student does not state the author's idea about William Blake's "Auguries of Innocence".
