The battle with the highest number of casualties was the Battle of (blank).
Serggg [28]

Answer:

The battle with the highest number of casualties was the Battle of Somme. The number of troops killed at Somme was nearly one thousand times the number killed at Bunker Hill. This chart demonstrates that casualty rates sharply increased during World War I.

Explanation:

The Battle of the Somme occurred between July 1 and November 18, 1916, during World War I, in Pas de Calais, in the north of France. There, the allied troops made up of British and French went to meet the German forces, as they aimed to divide the German army that was fighting in Verdun, near the Somme.

This battle ended up being the deadliest of the war, with a total of 300,000 dead on both sides, and more than a million wounded in total. In turn, this battle shows that the military confrontation of the time, based on trench warfare, was absolutely destructive due to the battles and the enormous number of casualties they caused.

Vedmedyk [2.9K]
Good morning!

The system of spoils is also known by a system of patronage. This practice consists of placing in government, in public positions, individuals who contributed to the candidate's victory. Thus, there is a review and a sort of cleaning in the secretariats and ministries, for example, where the new representatives will be allocated.

The Iran hostage situation occurred under which president?
photoshop1234 [79]
The answer is Carter. After the fall of the Shah of Iran in 1979, the U.S. Embassy was taken over by Iranian students who were members of the Muslim Followers of the Imam’s Line and took 88 American diplomats hostages. This was due to the American support given to the Shah of Iran who fled to the U.S. The Americans attempted a rescue but it failed to the crash landing of the helicopters the rescue team. The hostages were later freed with the signing of the Algiers Accord. This caused Carter to lose the 1980 presidential elections and made the Ayatollah Khomeinei a powerful figure in the Muslim world. This also resulted in U.S. sanctions against Iran.
