Read these lines from emily dickinson's poem "324" ("some keep the sabbath going to church"):some keep the sabbath in surplice â
adoni [48]
Let us only consider the endings of the verses; we see that the 1st and the 2nd dont match (surplice, wings). We notice though that the 2nd and 4th match (wings, sings). We can thus knock out options a and c. We also have that the 2nd and the 4th verse do not match. Finally, the 1st and 3rd dont rhyme (surplice, bell) and neither of them rhymes with any other verse, thus the correct option is b.

Which excerpt from the passage best allows the reader to infer that the Māori people felt cared for by the earth
Murljashka [212]

Answer:

"were warmly received".

Explanation:

"The Maori: Genealogies and Origins in New Zealand" narrate the mythical belief of how the Maori people came to be. These tribe in New Zealand and their inception is revealed and how they came to be from one of the strongest mythical creature, Tû.

As given in the excerpt, the Maori people believed Rangi and Papa to be their parents who gave birth to them and get them started. The many children who were born out of Rangi and Papa were the first humans, the Maoris. The phrase <em>"were warmly received by the earth, their new home" </em>strongly supports the idea that they felt cared for by the earth.

I got out a bowl and read the recipe and then I started adding ingredients. After which word should a comma be placed?
Vika [28.1K]
The comma should be added after the word bowl. Commas need to be added after conjunctions. Conjunctions include for, and, nor, but, or, yet, so (FANBOYS). Hope this helped :))
