Hello,

-2x+2y=8==>y=x+4(1)
The perdicular passing trought (4,-2) is
y+2=-1(x-4)==>y=-x+2(2)
The intersection is
(1)-(2)==>2x+2=0==>x=-1 and y=-1+4=3
Q=(-1,3)
P=(4,-2)
Distance PQ= √(( -1-4)²+(3+2)²)=√50=7,0710678...

The base of a triangle measures (3x − 6) units and the height measures (2x + 4) units. Part A: What is the expression that repre
Anettt [7]

To answer this item, we use the equation given for the calculation of the area of the triangle.

                                A = 0.5bh

Substituting the known expressions,

                      A = (0.5)(3x – 6)(2x + 4)

Part A: Use distribution method to simplify the expression for the calculation of area.

                         A = 0.5(6x^2 + 12x – 12x – 24)

                           A = 0.5(6x^2 – 24)

                          A = 3x^2 – 12

Part B: The equation for area of has a degree of two because the highest exponent is 2.

12. The interest due will be
  I = Prt = (1.0565·$12,465.00-1300.00)·0.064·(1/12) = $63.30 . . . . correct

13. The interest due will be
  I = Prt = (1.0565·$12,465.00-1500.00)·0.05·(1/12) = $48.62
Then your savings is $63.30 -48.62 = $14.68 . . . . correct

14. The balance is 3489.90/5000.00 ≈ 69.8% of the card's credit limit. We do not know the "acceptable debt ratio percentage", so we cannot answer how much over that ratio this balance might be. (Usually such a debt ratio would be the ratio of total debt to income. Knowing just the credit card debt is insufficient information.)

mr. smith has a maximum of $50 to spend at a museum. a ticket to the museum costs $7. he can spend p dollars to buy other things
7nadin3 [17]

The inequality that can be used to find the values for p is p + 7 ≤ 50.

Given the information,

Mr. Smith can only spend up to $50 at a museum. The museum admission ticket is $7. He can use his P dollars to purchase other items from the museum.

The total budget is $50.

The cost per ticket is $7

⇒ Total spent ≤ Total Budget

⇒ p + 7 ≤ 50

⇒ p ≤ 43

Therefore, p + 7 ≤ 50 will be the inequality that aids in determining the range of values for p.
