Answer:

1.They were ready for a conservative leader to take them to a time of peace.

Explanation:

Harding was the conciliation candidate in the 1920 presidential election, promising the nation's return to "normalcy" in the form of a strong economy, independent of outside influence. He and the Republican Party wanted to distance themselves from the progressivism that dominated the early twentieth century. Harding and Calvin Coolidge, their running mate, defeated James M. Cox and Franklin D. Roosevelt in the largest margin of victory in popular vote since there are records of the polls.

<em>"America's present need is not heroics, but healing; not nostrums, but normalcy; not revolution, but restoration; not agitation, but adjustment; not surgery, but serenity; not the dramatic, but the dispassionate; not experiment, but equipoise; not submergence in internationality, but sustainment in triumphant nationality.</em>" Harding,W. G.

What do womens’ rights groups today focus on in regard to abortion?
Korolek [52]

<u>Answer:</u>

<em>B. fighting to keep abortions legal </em>

<u>Explanation:</u>

The result of Roe v. Wade was the right given to women to end their pregnancies. The state still had the right against abortions.  The women’s rights group today supports the right for women to legally undergo abortions.  The group demands equal rights for women, the same as those of men. This also views pregnancy and/ or abortion as an important right exercised by a woman.  The state cannot assure the required facilities for pregnancy to women, hence, women should have the right to undergo abortion supported by the law.

One historical example of the ""different-equals-deficit"" error is _____.A)men perceiving women as intellectually inferiorB)Eur
WINSTONCH [101]

Answer:

The answer is: A) men perceiving women as intellectually inferior.

Explanation:

First and most important, men shouldn´t be considered more or less intelligent than women. No scientific study has ever been able to prove that statement, and men have tried many times to do so.

The term different equals deficit is referred to an erroneous belief that something that goes against what is considered normal is inferior or bad. People tend to believe that themselves, their country, their race, their gender, etc., are better than others just because of who they are.

So in this specific case, men tend to discriminate the intellectual capacity of women based on the sole fact that they are women and not men.
