What does the allusion to midas in the third stanza reveal about the speaker
igomit [66]

Answer:

The allusion to Midas reveals the differences of ages between the Chaperon and Midas.

Explanation:

Third stanza:

"They bow as my young Midas here  (emphasys on the young)

Will never learn to bow

(The dancing-masters do not teach

That gracious reverence now)(...)";  (Such things aren't taught to the young anymore)

The contrast between their ages is clearer during the fourth stanza:

"I watch my chaperon's face,

And see the dear old features take   (the chaperon is old)

A new and tender grace;

And in her happy eyes I see

Her youth awakening bright,

With all its hope, desire, delight--

Ah, me! I wish that I were quite

As young--as young as she!" (I wish I were as young as she)

kiruha [24]

Answer:

Explanation:

The roles and responsibilities played at home and both teens and adults.

Adults are generally charged with the coordination and managerial aspect of an establishment including our homes, this is because of the overall maturity which an adult is expected to portray, which is essential in keeping and running our homes.

Adults are expected to provide sustenance for the home in terms of food, clothes, bills and so on. The financial responsibility to a large ge percentage should rest on the shoulder of the male adult with the female coming in when necessary.

Also, managing the kids in terms of care and ensuring their well. Being rests largely on the female adults.

Security of the home is for the adults to oversee and the male should be in charge.

Teens are supposed to be taught by their parents and adult superiors how to be responsible. Hence, house chores such as dish washing, lawn mowing and other petty house chores should be assigned to them. The more draining ones such as lawn mowing to the male teens and the less strenuous to females.
