Answer:

£1,120

Step-by-step explanation:

The computation of the total money earned is given below:

Given that

Ratio of children to adult be 2;3

There is 80 children

each adult cost is  £8

And for children it is quarter of adult i.e  £8 ÷ 4 =  £2

For children there is an earning of

= 80 ×  £2

=  £160

And, for adult it would be

but before that the number of adults be

Let us assume the number of adults be x

\frac{2}{3} = \frac{80}{x}

After cross multiplication, the number of adult be 120

So the adult earning be

= 120 ×  £8

=  £960

So, the total money made would be

=  £960 +  £160

= £1,120

Answer:

The value of x = 10.

Step-by-step explanation:

From the given triangle,

  • The value of angle M = (3x + 28)°
  • The value of angle K = (5x - 18)°
  • The value of angle L = 90°

We know that the sum of a triangle is 180°.

i.e.

K + L + M = 180°

(5x - 18)° + 90° + (3x + 28)° = 180°

5x-18+90+3x+28=180

5x+3x-18+90+28=180

8x-18+90+28=180

8x+100=180

8x=80

\frac{8x}{8}=\frac{80}{8}

x=10

Therefore, the value of x = 10

A mini basketball court has an area of 500
aivan3 [116]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

let x,y be the sides of court.

2(x+y)=90

x+y=90/2=45

y=45-x

xy=500

x(45-x)=500

45x-x²=500

x²-45x+500=0

x²-25x-20x+500=0

x(x-25)-20(x-25)=0

(x-25)(x-20)=0

x=25,20

when x=25

y=45-x=45-25=20

when x=20

y=45-20=25

sides are 25 ft,20 ft.
