All the sides of a CUBE are equal..
Therefore, we can conclude that the formula for the volume of a cube is:
                                          =side³=s³
                             Or         =Base area×height
 Which is the same thing, because we multiply the same numbers thrice.
 V of cube=side³
                =7³               (side length is 7 in)
                =343 in³

Find the distance from (7, 4) and (-1,-4)<br> A. 11.31<br> B. 8<br> C. 10.42<br> D. 9.76
Neko [114]

Answer:

A

Step-by-step explanation:

Calculate the distance using the distance formula

d = \sqrt{(x_{2}-x_{1})^2+(y_{2}-y_{1})^2    }

with (x₁, y₁ ) = (7, 4 ) and (x₂, y₂ ) = (- 1, - 4 )

d = \sqrt{(-4-4)^2+(-1-7)^2}

  = \sqrt{(-8)^2+(-8)^2}

  = \sqrt{64+64}

  = \sqrt{128}

  ≈ 11.31 ( to 2 dec. places )

Answer:

\large\boxed{x\in\left(-\dfrac{13}{3},\ \infty\right)}

Step-by-step explanation:

4(x+1)+4>x-5\qquad\text{use the distributive property}\\\\4x+4+4>x-5\\\\4x+8>x-5\qquad\text{subtract 8 from both sides}\\\\4x>x-13\qquad\text{subtract}\ x\ \text{from both sides}\\\\3x>-13\qquad\text{divide both sides by 3}\\\\x>-\dfrac{13}{3}\to x\in\left(-\dfrac{13}{3},\ \infty\right)
