Answer:

180 children and 175 adults

Step-by-step explanation:

Let it be that the amount of children who visited the park that day was x, the rest was adults. It means the quantity of adults equals 355-x.

The payment from the children is 1.5*x (because each children payed 1.5 dollars, the amount of money from children is the fee from one child multiplied by the quantity of children). The money earned by the park's owners from adults are equal to the fee from one adult multiplied by the quantity  4* (355-x)= 1420 -4x

If we add the money from chilren and adults we get the summary profit of park (it is equal to 970 dollars)

1.5x+ 1420-4x= 970

1420-2.5x= 970

x=180- children

355-180=175adults

A textile fiber manufacturer is investigating a new drapery yarn, which the company claims has a mean thread elongation of 12 ki
shepuryov [24]

Answer

given,

mean = 12 Kg

standard deviation = 0.5 Kg

assume the observed statistic is = 11.1

 now, \bar{X}=11.1 , \mu = 12 , \sigma = 0.5

assuming the number of sample = 4

n = 4

Hypothesis test:

H₀ : μ≥ 12

Ha : μ < 12

now,

significant level α = 0.05

z* = \dfrac{\bar{X}-\mu}{\dfrac{\sigma}{\sqrt{n}}}

z* = \dfrac{11.1-12}{\dfrac{0.5}{\sqrt{4}}}

     z* = -3.60

Test statistics, Z* = -3.60

P-value

P(Z<-3.60) = 0.002 (from z- table)

P- value = 0.002

now,

reject the value of H₀ when P-value < α

    0.002 < 0.05

since, it is less P-value < α , we have to reject the null hypothesis

The circular opening of an ice cream cone has a diameter of 7 centimeters. The height of the cone is 10 centimeters. What is the
Nataly [62]

We have been given that the circular opening of an ice cream cone has a diameter of 7 centimeters. The height of the cone is 10 centimeters. We are asked to find the volume of the ice cream cone in cubic centimeters.

We will use volume of cone formula to solve our given problem.

V=\frac{1}{3}\pi r^2h, where,

r = Radius

h = Height.

We know that diameter is two times the radius, so radius of cone would be half the diameter that is \frac{7}{2} cm.

V=\frac{1}{3}\pi\cdot (\frac{7}{2}\text{ cm})^2\cdot 10\text{ cm}

V=\frac{1}{3}\pi\cdot \frac{49}{4}\text{ cm}^2\cdot 10\text{ cm}

V=\frac{490\pi }{12}\text{ cm}^3

V=128.2817\text{ cm}^3

Upon rounding to nearest tenth, we will get:

V\approx 128.3\text{ cm}^3

Therefore, the volume of the cone would be approximately 128.3 cubic cm.
