When Frederick Douglas came to Auld's home for the first time, he was stunned by the extraordinary kindness of his new mistress. Mrs. Auld had never had a slave before, and she looked like an untouched by the evils of slavery. She did not mind him directly looking into her eyes, and she did not appreciate the fact that he was submissive. She taught him alphabet, and some small words. When Mr. Auld noticed what she was doing, he demanded that she stop immediately. The reason is, education breaks slaves, making them unbearable and unhappy. When Douglas heard it, he discovered the strategy that white people use to enslave black people. Douglas is grateful to Hugh Auld for this enlightenment.

(Para 1) There are extremely helpful benefits which public schools and home schools can provide. However, there are also negative downsides to both schooling methods. What are the benefits and what are the risks of interning a young child or teen in one of these schooling methods? The magazine entitled “Home schooling-is it for you” stated that “Those who advocate home schooling say that children learn more effectively at home because lessons are woven into every aspect of the family’s daily activity.” Based on the sources mentioned by SeattlePi stated that “Public schools may not be able to provide the same quality of education as private schools.” So, which of these two methods seem most accurate for schooling education? Many people worldwide prefer the homeschooling method and are happy with the results and realistically home schooling is the best schooling method parents can provide their own children. But, before getting into any solid conclusions we must first see with accuracy all the pros and cons which involve these both methods of education. Later as job for parents, they must consider the most effective way to benefit their children or teens who are considering either option of schooling.
(Para 2) Homeschooling is not the best method of schooling for several reasons. Firstly, homeschooling is a challenging experience for any parent because of the change they will have to make to their lives. The CalvertEducation page mentions that parents “Will take on the duties and responsibilities of both a teacher and administrator... [they] will need to implement lessons, organize field trips, coordinate activities with other parents, and make sure [they] are compliant with state and local homeschool requirements.” Secondly, the financial situation must be considered since the cost of some resources can sometimes be very costly, CalvertEducation states “While there are many free resources available, homeschool supplies such as textbooks, books, paper, art supplies, computers, software, and other homeschool tools cost money.” Thirdly, the exposure to a social environment reduces significantly. The CalvertEducation page states that “Homeschooling... means less daily interaction with large numbers of kids in a child’s age group. And homeschoolers can end up spending less time each day participating in organized sports and activities with their peers.” A woman named Julie shared her experiences in homeschooling through her channel “Mama to five” and explained the challenges she went through growing up in such a way, Julie states: “Cons I’ve experienced being homeschooled... is only having one teacher [for the whole school-year] and of course that was my mom. [My mom would get frustrated if I didn’t get a certain subject and I feel that if someone else would have taught me the same subject she did then I would have probably understood it much better]” she later mentions that her toughest challenge was “Feeling left out [by my own] peers” It’s very important to have personal interactions with other peers. However, many home schooled kids don’t have this advantage. But, this is not always the case for each child or young adult who is in home schooling or is considering the idea of it.
(Para 3) Public schooling is a convenient place for extroverted students who like to socialize and make friends. Public schooling can provide both male and female students a chance to hook up and find someone to give their heart out to have an either long term or short term relationship. Also, activities such as prom and field trips provide students chances to expand their circle of friends and make bonding friendships with people from different backgrounds, cultures, and languages. The article “Pros and Cons of Public Schooling, Private Schooling, and Homeschooling Education” mentions the pros of public schooling. Some reasons why public education can be considered a good option for parents is because “It is free for a child to attend a public school. Funding for schools comes through state government” and “Public schools may provide many activities for students to become involved in, including clubs, sports, and fine arts, and these are free to students.”
