Odysseus blinded Polyphemus.

Explanation:

Polyphemus is the famous cyclops that Odysseus blinds in order to escape from him and continue their voyage back home. As Odysseus is escaping, he tells the cyclops his name (actually, one of his pseudonyms). It is because of Odysseus´ own recklessness that the cyclops can complain to Poseidon, his father, and so Poseidon decides to take revenge on Odysseus and his men whilst travelling the seas back home.
