What is the slope of the line passing through the points (-1, 7) and (4, - 1)?
katovenus [111]
To do this you will use the equation m=y2-y1/x2-x1. So think of the points as x1=-7, y1=7 & x2=4,y2=-1 and then simply replace them in the equation so, (-1)-7/4-(-1)= 8/5. And 8/5 cannot be further simplified so that’s ur answer.

Dimitri is helping to plan the school talent show. Each performer for the talent show has 666 minutes for his or her performance
strojnjashka [21]

We can find the answer by taking the total count of time, 150, and subtract 24 from it. This is because the 24 minute introduction is not part of the performances, so it is not part of our equation.  After we subtract the two numbers to get 126, we divide the remaining number by 6. This is because each performance lasts 6 minutes, so by dividing it from 126, we get the total amount of performances. The answer is 21.

Hope this helps!

how to find volume of a pool?? what's the formula... I'm in 7th grade and I need help finding the volume of a pool I just need a
gogolik [260]
Let's assume the pool is a rectangular block

If you know the length width and depth (or height) of the pool, then you can find the volume.

For example
length = 30 feet
width = 10 feet
depth = 8 feet
volume = length*width*depth = 30*10*8 = 300*8 = 2400 cubic feet
This is assuming that the depth stays the same throughout the pool. Though some pools (or most?) have the depth gradually get deeper as you move toward the deep-end. To keep things simple however, the assumption is that the bottom is completely flat and it doesn't gradually get deeper.
