Answer:

History helps people develop empathy because you begin to see the struggles and issues that man has faced since it left Africa. When you look back at the plague, we feel sorry for the people that lived through it, but we also notice the affect it played on our world. When we look at the Holocaust, we fell horror at what the Nazis did, but we also learned that we must make sure it never happens again. It allows us to compare our struggles to the titans of the past. That is how History builds empathy
