Identify the substances that can readily pass through the inner mitochondrial membrane.
KIM [24]

Answer:

A,C E

Explanation:

The inner membrane of the mitochondria separate the matrix of the mitochondria from the cytosol(inner membrane space.). It is invaginated  folded inwards  to form the critae. This is an adaptive feature to increase the surface area for biochemical reaction in the mitochondria.

The invagination gives two compartments the inner mitochondria also creates the outer intermembrane space and the inner matrix

These are the substances that can pass freely the inner membrane of the mitochondria.Pyruvate and H+ can not pass through.Specifically,it is not preamble to H+ because, hydrogen ions are needed to generate the electrochemical gradients needed for the chemical energy  for phosphorylation of ADP by  P to form ATPs by the enzyme ATPase synthase. If the inner membrane is permeable to H+ the electochemical gradient will not be produced, and therefore ATPs productions stops.

O2 needs to pass through the inner membrane because it it the final electron acceptor. Therefore if not allowed to pass through oxidative phosphorylation  and ETC will nor occur.

CO2 must pass through because its accumulation will increase the acidity of the inner  mitochondria

What muscle is the woman using to lift the ball over her head
wolverine [178]

Answer:

Deltoid

Explanation:

The muscles of the trunk and the muscles of the lower extremity will be used for stability and moving the box across the 2 meters. The muscles of the upper extremity would be used to varying degrees to lift, hold, and lift the box to sternum level and place it in its place and which muscles contribute to the specific portion of the task you intend to study will depend on the magnitude of the load, the frequency the task is completed, the velocity at which the task is completed, the height differential between where the box is lifted from to the height at which the box is placed when the task is completed.

14. What feature of DNA replication makes it semi-conservative?
Luden [163]

Answer:

The correct answer is one strand of each new molecule comes from the original molecule.

Explanation:

DNA replication is process by which the parental DNA is converted into two daughter DNA molecule.DNA replication is semi conservative in nature which means each newly synthesized daughter DNA molecule contain 50% parental DNA characteristics.

Each newly synthesizd daughter DNA molecule contain one parental strand and one newly synthesized strand..Thus half of the characteristics of parental DNA is being conserved in each newly formed daughter DNA molecule.
