The length of the hypotenuse of a right triangle is 137 units. The length of one leg of the triangle is 105. Gina wrote the foll

owing step to find the length of the unknown leg: Length of the unknown leg = 1372 − 1052 = 18,769 − 11,025 = 7,744 units Which statement best explains whether Gina's step is correct or incorrect?
A. It is incorrect because the length of the unknown side is the square root of 29,794.
B. It is incorrect because the length of the unknown side is the square root of 7,744.
C. It is correct because the length of the unknown side is the difference of the lengths of the sides.
D. It is correct because the length of the unknown side is the difference of the squares of the sides

Answer:

B. It is incorrect because the length of the unknown side is the square root of 7,744

Step-by-step explanation:

Given

 • a = 137
 • b = 105
 • c = ?

Solution

As per Pythagorean theorem:

 • c² = a² - b²
 • c² = 137² - 105² = 18769 - 11025 = 7744
 • c = √7744 = 88 units

Gina's incorrect step is:

 • B. It is incorrect because the length of the unknown side is the square root of 7,744

Answer:

it is incorrect because the length of the unknown side is the square root of 7,744.

Step-by-step explanation:

a^2 + b^2 = c^2

105^2+ b^2 = 137^2

11025+ b^2= 18769

11025-11025+ b^2 = 18769-11025

b^2= 7704

sqr b^2= sqr 7704

b=87.77243303

b=87.8 simplified

therefore, this gina is wrong because the lenght of the unknown leg is the square root of 7,744.

hope it helps.

Choose the polygon that is a regular quadrilateral
Sati [7]

"Regular quadrilateral" means it has four sides, and the
sides AND the inside angles are all equal.

-- The one at the upper left is a rhombus. All 4 of its sides
are the same length, and the first time I saw it, I picked it.
But then I remembered that in order to be 'regular', the
inside angles also have to be equal, and in a rhombus,
they're not.

-- The one in the lower right is a square. It has four sides,
they're all equal, and the inside angles are all the same too.
So the square is the only one that does the job for you.

Solve the system of equations.
hjlf
Ok so the question has already been answered by someone but i wanna give you some advice... it’s called ✨photomath✨ and you can take a picture of the problem or type it in... it would have been able to solve this equation right away, so you wouldn’t have had to wait for someone to answer. have a great day :)

5 and 6 why they keep giving me this lol
Advocard [28]

Answer:

5. The answer is 2

6. Her error is that she was supposed to subtract 16 minus 12 instead of 12 minus 2.

Step-by-step explanation:

For number 5 all I did was solve.

12 + (25 - 5^2) - 2 =

12 + 0 - 2 =

12 - 2 = 10

10 ÷ 5 = 2

So, for number 5 the answer is 2.

For number 6, you should know that when there are only plus and minus signs you solve from left to right.

She instead put parentheses where there shouldn't of been, and because of that she is wrong.

Hope this helps! :)
