A classmate says that the expression -5r(6s) can be expanded to - 30r - 5rs. Explain his error

-5r(6s) would be -30rs because everything outside of the parentheses must be multiplied by everything inside the parentheses. -5r times 6s would be -30rs because -5 times 6 is thirty and when combining variables for an answer you would get rs whicg combine for -30rs

What is the ratio of 364:78
Klio2033 [76]
You'd want to simplify that by dividing both terms by the greatest common factor which is the product of the shared primes of both numbers prime factorization...

364=2*2*7*13, 78=2*3*13, so the GCF is 2*13=26, now divide both terms by 26

Find each measure m<1, m<2,m<3
Leno4ka [110]

Answer:

option 2.

m1 = 75    ,   m2 = 129   ,   m3 = 100

Step-by-step explanation:

with the rule that the internal angles of a triangle add up to 180 ° we can calculate the missing angles

x + 46 + 29 = 180

x = 180 - 46 -29

x = 105

a flat angle has 180 °

m1 + 105 = 180

m1 = 180 - 105

m1 = 75

46 + 54 + y = 180

y = 180 - 46 -54

y = 80

80 = z + 29

z = 80 - 29

z = 51

as they are two crossed lines the angle is reflected from the opposite side

with that principle and knowing that the angle of a turn is 360 °, if we subtract the 2 known angles and divide it by 2 we will obtain the missing angle (m2)

m2 * 2 = 360 - 51 * 2

m2 = 258/2

m2 = 129

m2 = 29 + m3

129 = 29 + m3

m3 = 129 - 29

m3 = 100

When a watch is sold at ksh 126 aloss of x percent is made . If the same ksh 126, a loss of x percent is made . If the same watc
Nitella [24]

Answer:

ksh 140

Step-by-step explanation:

When a watch is sold for ksh 126 a loss of x% is made, that is( 100 - x)%

Hence, the loss amount = (126 X 100)/(100 - x)

When the same watch is sold for ksh 154 a profit of x% is made, that is (100 + x)%

Hence, the profit amout = (154 X 100)/(100 + x)

Therefore, (126 X 100)/(100 - x) = (154 X 100)/(100 + x)

12600(100 + x) = 15400(100 - x)

1260000 + 12600x = 1540000 - 15400x

28000x = 280000

x = 10%

In that case for a watch sold for ksh 126 a loss 10% is made, that is( 100 - 10)%

Hence, loss amount = (126 X 100)/90 = ksh 140

∴ the buying price is ksh 140
