Most farmers used enslaved laborers to raise crops.
Explanation: It was the deep South, slavery was normalized there. Plus, I looked on a site that was about Louisiana during the Antebellum period and cotton was how the majority of Louisiana farmers made their money. I’m assuming that the cotton was forcibly picked by slaves. Hope this helped.
