The characteristics that are common to all elements that were discovered since the 1950s, are 1st, they are a result of the bombardment of previously discovered elements. Say for example Bohrium, discovered in the year 1981, was a result of the bombardment of bismuth and chromium. They are said to be artificially prepared in the laboratory. They are also considered as transuranium elements ( meaning they have atomic number greater than 92 ). Most of the recently discovered elements are said to be radioactive, care must be undertaken.
