Short paragraph: You don't. English is okay, but as long as you can read and write, you don't need to learn English anymore.

Answer:

English honors really isn't much of a difference except if you're looking for more work. Its typically more engaging with seminars, presentations, and essays. The mentalities in these classes tend to be different. Honors english classes are a bit more focused and students are more attentive. It could also help you learn to be a better writer as honors classes typically require more essays or more pages added onto your essay than a regular class. Having honors english added onto your transcript (if you're in high school) for colleges to see is pretty good too. It could impact their decision accept you and they could see you're a good student.

In what way is the character of Sir Gawain different from other epic heroes such as Beowulf?
BaLLatris [955]
There are a lot of differences between Sir Gawain and Beowulf.
1. Sir Gawain is a mere knight, and Beowulf is a prince.
2. Sir Gawain is from a Medieval tale, while Beowulf is from an Anglo-Saxon tale.
3. <span>Sir Gawain humbles himself down and says he's feeble minded and of the least strength between all the knights, and he strongly desires to take the Green knight's challenge to avoid risking Arthur's life and put his less valuable one at stake. Beowulf is often praised for trying to pursue his own personal goals, and his strength and greatness are admirable as well.

What are your thoughts about Shakespeare or about the work that he's written?
kvasek [131]

William Shakespeare.

When we talk about English literature, there’s this renowned name which comes in everyone’s mind ‘William Shakespeare’ – the greatest writer, poet, and dramatist of all time.

Shakespeare’s style of writing was different from the rest. He used ‘Iambic Pentameter’ where lines didn’t rhymed. His works are all about love, magic, life, death, grief; I don’t think there’s any aspect of English literature where he didn’t tried his hand. He influence he had on English literature is incredible.

Some of his most well known works includes ‘Hamlet’, ‘Romeo and Juliet’, ‘The Taming of the Shrew’ the list is endless because almost all his work demands an appreciation.

Although there are people who criticize William Shakespeare for his writing style, but this will always be a known fact that despite all the criticism his works are read and praised by people even today. His works continue to motivate writers and students even in the 21st century.
