Explanation:

They are afraid that someone may have murdered Red Chief. They are worried and anxiously searching for Red Chief. They are in disbelief that a kidnapping could happen in a small town like Summit.

The major conflict, or the struggle that drives the plot of the story, is between Johnny and Bill as Johnny seems to enjoy being kidnapped and keeps injuring Bill with his wild form of play. However, an internal struggle ensues about whether their trouble is worth the money they stand to gain from his ransom.

Dorset asked for money so he could take his child home. This shows that the father doesn't have a relationship with his son.

On the very first day the boy treated Bill very badly. The boy jumped on his chest , ready for an attack, he made him horse and pretending himself to be a horse rider . He kick Bill leg with until they were Black and blue. He hit him behind his year with a sling .

What is the speaker mean "Steam was our handmaid and our servant flame,?
damaskus [11]

Answer:

keeps the engine of the ship moving.

Explanation:

The lines "Steam was our handmaid and our servant flame" was said by John Masefield in regard to a ship. Steam is considered as an important factor that keeps the engine of the ship moving. Though it lies inside and cannot be seen outwardly on the exterior of the ship, it is what makes the ship working and moving.

Similarly, the speaker compares the steam to a handmaid who also works and maintains a house from inside. It is like a flame/feul that burns inside just like a home aid who works inside the house.
