How much time will you save on a ten mile trip if you travel at 60 mph rather than at 55 mph
AleksAgata [21]
D=rt is the base formula for this.
distance=rate×time
The two known variables are the distance (10 miles) and the rate (55 or 60mph). There are two equations which can be formulated and solved for comparison.
10=55x 10=60x
10/55=x 10/60=x
.187=x .167=x
The last step is to convert the hours to minutes and minute remainders to seconds.
.187×60minutes=10.07 .167×60minutes=11.22
1 minute, 9 seconds

How did the league of nations respond to aggression by japan italy and germany?
hram777 [196]
They didn't. They didn't have the firepower to battle against them because they lacked the support of the United States and they wouldn't fight wars if they weren't important for them. They tried to appease with them but eventually it proved to be a massive failure as the Axis forces eventually attacked and occupied them as well.
