Answer:

chloe describes what it’s like to be a “gifted” student at the ASD, identifies some of the other students in her class (including hyper-competitive Abigail and hyper-intelligent Noah), and then narrates the arrival of Donovan at the school – specifically, his first appearance in her robotics class. Noting that robotics is one of her specialties, Chloe describes how, almost immediately after arriving, Donovan accidentally breaks off part of the robot currently under construction, and just as immediately, starts a debate about what name the robot should be given, a conversation ridiculed by the controlling Abigail, who also tells Chloe that she went to elementary school with Donovan and thought he was pretty much just “normal”. What are postive and negative connotations for "to be common"?
faust18 [17]
Positive connotations would be that there is as sense of normalcy and acceptance of everyday life.

I find it much easier to argue the negative connotations that is implies an underwhelming sense of being mundane and boring, it could like to low status socially or financially or it could also suggest an insignificance.

Hope this helps :)))

What is the overall tone of the watsons go to Birmingham
slamgirl [31]

k

Explanation:

There are different tones in this novel. At times it is humorous and at others it is reflective. Byron comes up with some pretty funny lines like,

"I sure wish someone would come clean and tell me who my real folks was, there just ain't no way in hell two people as ugly as your momma and daddy could ever have a child as fine as me!"

At other times the tone is brutally honest and reflective,

"I've often told you that as Negroes the world is many times a hostile place for us." I saw Mr. Alums walking back and forth whacking a yardstick in his hand. "I've pointed out time and time again how vital it is that one be able to read well."

Sometimes it mixes and varies between tones.. sometimes comedic or reflective very changing, like every long story.
