They try to cut off your apps and stuff but if they show the dangers, it usually makes money for a certain other protection app/site/subscription worth lots of money, It's really effective. Parents also think people online change children behaviour, like if they hang out around someone whos a bad influence and imprint on them and act like them. Or hanging out with a younger person and they act like that age. Same goes for online people or adults, They don't know the people their children/teenagers are hanging out with so again, most likely the last one.
