$-9.48

Explanation:

Net present value is the present value of after-tax cash flows from an investment less the amount invested.

NPV can be calculated using a financial calculator

Cash flow = (revenue - cost - depreciation) (1 - tax rate) + depreciation

Straight line depreciation expense = (Cost of asset - Salvage value) / useful life

(400 - 0) / 5 = 80

(200 - 90- 80) x (1 - 0.32)  + 80 = $100.40

Cash flow in year 0 = $-400

Cash flow each year from year 1 to 5 = $100.40

I = 9%

NPV = $-9.48

To find the NPV using a financial calculator:

1. Input the cash flow values by pressing the CF button. After inputting the value, press enter and the arrow facing a downward direction.

2. after inputting all the cash flows, press the NPV button, input the value for I, press enter and the arrow facing a downward direction.

3. Press compute

Last year a country’s real GDP grew by 4%, it’s inflation rate was 2.5%, and it’s government budget deficit was about $250 billi
Arturiano [62]

Answer:

d. 3.85 trillion

Explanation:

Step 1: Given data

GDP = GDP grew by = 4% = 0.04

R = inflation rate was = 2.5% = 0.025

D = government budget deficit was = $250 billion

Step 2: Formula

X = debt at the start of last year

X = D / (GDP + R)

Step 3: Computation

X = 250 billion / (0.04 + 0.025)

X = 250,000,000,000 / 0.065

X = 3,846,153,846,153.85

Step 4: Convert to trillion

X = 3,846,153,846,153.85 / 1,000,000,000,000

X = 3.85 trillion

The correct option is d. 3.85 trillion

Hope this helps!

What are inferior goods in business?
OleMash [197]

Answer:

Inferior goods are goods that are bought less as income of buyers increase.

Explanation:

In business, inferior goods can be described as goods that experience declines in their demand or sale when the income of buyers or consumers increase.

This implies that there is a negative relationship between the demand of inferior goods and the income of the buyers.

Put in another way, inferiors goods are the more affordable substitutes for goods that are expensive when the income of the consumers fall.
