Answer:

Sports play an important part in a student's life due to numerous reasons.

There are many sports and games that take place in our school. The most popular sport at our school is Basketball. Apart from Basketball, students here play football, tennis, badminton, hockey, cricket and swimming.

Sports are important for students as they keep them physically fit. Health is wealth, and they cannot succeed without being in a good physical condition. Sports also allow students to relax their mind, away from the normal school subjects. Sports are a way of recreation. Sports also help build a better character in a student as they learn important skills such as team work and leadership.

Personally I believe swimming would benefit me the most as it uses all parts of the body. I find swimming very relaxing and fun. It is a good way to maintain my fitness, while relaxing at the same time. Basketball would also be a benefit to me, as it would help me develop team work skills.

It can be concluded that sports are very important for students.

Which sentence has a dangling modifier? A.) As Cody walked to the movies, he was drenched by a thunderstorm. B.)Walking to the m
Aleks04 [339]
A dangling modifier is a modifier that incorrectly or ambiguously modifies a word or phrase. Modifiers serve to add more information or context to the sentence.

The choices in the problem all have modifiers at the beginning of the sentence. Because of this, we expect that the word after the modifier should be the one that it's modifying.

We can notice that the modifier in choice C seem to be telling us that the thunderstorm is walking to the movies. This is clearly illogical and not what the sentence is implying. This is therefore a dangling modifier.

ANSWER: C. Walking to the movies, the thunderstorm drenched Cody.
