<span>The Bonus Army was the name given to Veterans who
asked the government for early we-related payments. It was an army of 43,000
marchers who gathered in Washington D.C. in 1932. They demanded cash-payment
redemption for their service certificates. The assembly was led by Walter W.
Waters, a former army sergeant.</span>

Guilds performed a variety of important functions in the local economy. They established a monopoly of trade in their locality or within a particular branch of industry or commerce; they set and maintained standards for the quality of goods and the integrity of trading practices in that industry; they worked to maintain stable prices for their goods and commodities; and they sought to control town or city governments in order to further the interests of the guild members and achieve their economic objectives.
Interesting question. The black death was a rather ready virus or as they called it a "plague". The reason it was so deadly it because it was a brand new virus/plague that the Europeans had never encounterd therefore being rather deadly for there immune system was not ready for it and had no way of treating it because it was an known virus from overseas.
