Do you prefer to express solutions to inequalities using interval notation or as an inequality ? Do you think it’s important to
docker41 [41]

Answer:

I prefer to express solutions to inequalities using interval notation. Both formats are are important but I think interval notation is easier to understand and represents better the solutions.

For example, if you have the following inequation:

x-2> 1

x>3

Therefore, the solution could be written either x>3 OR (3, +inf). But what happens if the solution to the system of equation is x>3 or x<-3? The solution can be easily written as: (-inf, -3) U  (3, inf) instead of <em>'x>3 or x<-3' </em>which is more confusing.

Currently 31 out of 50 American adults drink coffee every day . In a town with a population on 7,500 adults how many of these ad
larisa86 [58]

Answer:

4650 adults

Step-by-step explanation:

The ratio of people who drink coffee to total people is 31/50, or 0.62

To find the number of adults in the town who drink coffee, multiply the ratio by how many people there are in the town.

Plugging in the values we are given,

0.62 * 7500 = 4650

We can expect 4650 adults to drink coffee in the town.

Let f(x)=5e^3x and g(x)=2/3ln(5x); find (f(g))(2)
Sedbober [7]

Answer:

<h2>a) 500</h2>

Step-by-step explanation:

(f\circ g)(x)=f\bigg(g(x)\bigg)\\\\(f\circ g)(2)=f\bigg(g(2)\bigg)\\\\f(x)=5e^{3x},\ g(x)=\dfrac{2}{3}\ln(5x)\\\\(f\circ g)(x)\to\text{in}\ f(x)\ \text{replace}\ x\ \text{with the expression}\ \dfrac{2}{3}\ln(5x):\\\\(f\circ g)(x)=5e^{3\cdot\frac{2}{3}\ln(5x)}=5e^{2\ln(5x)}\qquad\text{use}\ \ln a^n=n\ln a\\\\(f\circ g)(x)=5e^{\ln(5x)^2}\qquad\text{use}\ a^{\log_ab}=b\\\\(f\circ g)(x)=5(5x)^2=5(5^2x^2)=5(25x^2)=125x^2\\\\(f\circ g)(2)\to\text{put}\ x=2\\\\(f\circ g)(2)=125(2^2)=125(4)=500
