Answer:

High mass stars have to generate a lot of energy in order to balance the force of gravity. Therefore they are very hot and luminous. That explains their position high on the Main Sequence. On the other hand, low mass stars have to generate little energy in order to balance the force due to gravity.

Elenna [48]

You cannot put your hand on a solid table because the particles are close together and in a fixed position. This is because the atoms of a solid are not like liquid, gas, and plasma. The particles are too condensed to move around an opposing force.

What is the role of DNA in determining an organisms traits
pogonyaev
DNA carries the "codes" that communicate what traits will be formed. The nucleotides in DNA are read and transcribed into mRNA which travels ot of the cells nucleus and then goes to a ribosome. In the ribosome, tRNA matches to mRNA with its anticodon. Each of the tRNA molecules are carrying an amino acid which are all connected by the ribosome to create an amino acid chain, which is a protein, which are traits in an organisms.

How do food webs show the flow of energy?
stepladder [879]
Food webs normally start at the bottom and work their way up. Like the plants will be at the bottom, and then each level shows the animals getting bigger while losing energy. You continually lose energy as you work your way up an ecosystem, so normally there are only three or four levels. I hope this helps!

Which of the following describes the main role of the electron transport chain in cellular respiration?
Lapatulllka [165]

Answer:

A.it pumps hydrogen ions inside the cell

Explanation:

Principally, the main role of electron transport chain is to maintain the electrochemical gradient of hydrogen ions (H+) inside the mitochondrial matrix. This is the last step in aerobic cellular respiration and performs a series of redox reactions. Overall, it allows accumulation of H+ inside the mitchondrial matrix. This increased gradient or accumulation of hydrogen ions (H+) is essential because H+ would accept the electrons producing during the reactions. Without this, the flow of electron will be stopped because of high  gradient, and production of ATP will not happen as well.

Indeed ETC helps in production of ATP but that is not the main function of electron transport chain rather it is a function of mitochondria.
