Answer:

The correct answer is D. Many believe that the Patriot Act interferes with citizen's liberty and violates their privacy.

Explanation:

The US PATRIOT Act is a US law passed in 2001 as a result of the attacks of September 11, 2001.  The law is very complicated and comprehensive, with 158 sections and 15 amendments to the law, including in criminal procedure, computer crime, intelligence, interception and immigration. It also deals with financial support for victims of terrorism, increased payments to emergency service staff and the fight against fraud by contributing to charities following a terrorist attack. However, the law has been controversial because it gave the police authorities a greater opportunity to monitor and arrest terrorist suspects without charge or trial.

OlgaM077 [116]

Answer:

The fourteenth amendment was introduced to protect the laws of all Americans.

Explanation:

After the civil war, everything had been shattered into pieces, the war had left the country into undeniable dilemma about how to move ahead. There were certain laws which protect only certain Americans.

To compensate for the destruction and to adhere to the consequences of the war, a law was passed which did not give African-American laws so that the slaves could go back to being slaves and the destruction caused by the war could be restored.

To protect everyone's right the Americans were introduced to the fourteenth amendment. Which gave them the right to have ownership to land and it safeguarded the rights of its citizens.
