The answer is no because the African American community used to have a speaker and they knew what they wanted and what are their rights. Right now there is no strong leader and they are not united about why are they protesting, some are protesting for bad quality of life, some for police brutality and some as laid workers. Another reason is that in the 1960s there was response from the government giving them more and more rights right now after the protests, nothing actually happened except showing anger from the African American community.
