A good trick for fractions is to take the top number and divide it by the bottom number. This gives you the number version of the fraction. For example in question 4. 5/4 is 1.25. And 10/8 is 1.25. therefore they have the same value. Also another good trick. If the top number is more than the bottom number we know it will be 1 something because their is more than the bottom number. So if we have for example question 3 we know that 4 thirds will be at least 1 something if we divide it. And if we look at 8 ninths we know it will be less than 1 something since I is less than nine. Therefore if divided they will have different numbers
